In love with the strange - Experimental cinema, AI shorts, hybrid and new moving-image forms.
Konstloop is built around recurrence, mutation, innovation, and the beauty of the strange. The festival welcomes work shaped by lust for innovation and experimentation, hybrid storytelling, and unexpected cinematic form.
The word konst in swedish, signals art but also the strange. Loop points to creative iteration, feedback, recursion, and regenerative innovation. Together defining a space for short films that feel exploratory, alive, and formally adventurous.
Explore experimental filmmaking, AI and new visual languages. We are drawn to works that are precise, strange, poetic, bold, unsettling, playful, or radically new. The first edition of Konstloop Film Festival, taking place 23-26 October 2026, will be held online. Selected films will be screened as part of a curated digital programme hosted through the festival website, with support from Vimeo, and available during a limited festival window only. From 2027 onward, the festival aims to expand into a physical event as well, with in-person screenings and a live audience in Malmö.
